I have used them to order sacks of food before. My order was delivered promptly and in perfect condition, no problems at all. :)

Re: Huge Mammory lumps

So sorry!{{Hugs}}
I know just how you are feeling. I have had 3 girls PTS in the last month (last one on Saturday) and 2 girls operated on in the last 3 weeks. Awful time atm.

Re: Huge Mammory lumps

It sounds to me as though the time has come to PTS.
I'm sorry you are having to go through this. I have just had 2 girls operated on in the last fortnight and one almost didn't make it through the anaesthetic. If her lump comes back as they sometimes do then I doubt I would opt for another op...

Re: I Think My Little Guy Has Broken His Leg :(

How long has he been limping? You say you were away 4 days, when was his injury first noticed? He really needs painkillers at the very least if you can't see a vet until morning.
Hope he is ok. x

Re: Oh dear, first experience of a rat post op

Giselle just had a lumpectomy done and the vet actually said that the external stitches "were there to keep her amused/occupied while the glue and 2 internal sets did their job". So try not to worry too much. They heal really quickly! x :)

Re: Just to prove how expensive taking on rats can be...

They amount of times I have heard parents in pet shops saying to each other "Lets get a hamster, gerbil, rat because if little Joe loses interest, it won't live long. Grrrrrrrr. My Dad, 80, really misses his cat and the company he gave Dad, but says he won't have another because it would most likel...

Re: Just to prove how expensive taking on rats can be...

In my opinion it is actually very irresponsible of a parent of an 8 year old child not to consider themselves fully responsible for any animal, whether bought for an 8 year old or a child younger or older. It will be the parents who pay for vet and food bills etc and I personally wouldn't sent an 8...

Re: Just to prove how expensive taking on rats can be...

I have 12 rats, some from rescue, some breeder. The only vet visit in the 12 months since I Started collecting them  was my neutered buck (he was a rescue and they had the op done before he came here). He had antibiotics for a small post op abscess.(£12.50 all in) The oldest 2 are 16 months, th...

Re: FR's atmosphere currently.

i saw this highlighted earlier in the thread but iv just read 2 threads in particular which has made me agree with the point made. i cant stand the 'my way or the highway' approach to animal keeping, and if someone tells me im cruel/heartless/selfish for doing what i do then i honestly cant state i...

Re: Screaming.

You are probably right, I expect they have had a fight. I had 2 boys who were very suspicious of one another all their lives. Skrtel would start shouting if Kuyt so much as glanced in his direction. I'd then leap in to "rescue" him! :rollred:  It settled down after a while and if Skrtel was asl...

Re: Screaming.

Hi, I am definitelty no expert but from what I have read and seen with others' rats it is probably aggression or maybe fear. If you were feeding them maybe he was trying to assert dominance over the others so he'd get first dibs at the food. I know people who have had rats who didn't like them and w...

Re: ??? Rat room ???

I use the smallest of the spare rooms as a rat room. Great for freeranging! It IS still carpeted but the girls are doing a grand job of sorting that for me, a little at a time, from the edges in.. .and pretty soon it will be ready for the laminate flooring to go in.... As soon as I've painted ...
