hi there im no expert by any means when it comes to ratties but i would say that the slow and steady approach would work the best. personally i like to take the outer leaves aand stringy stuff off and give it a wash first, then give as is or cook it, either way my girlies love corn on the cobb x

Hi peeps

was just wondering what the general thoughts were on burning scented candles in the same room as my ratties, as they are in my lounge and i dont use air freshners but would like to use scented candles every now and then .

Hi yes they will be fine just so long as you dont free range together. My friend have boys and girls in the same room they just make sure that they count them in and out of the cages ensuring no pregnancies.

OMG im soooooooo glad you found her safe and well. What an awful ordeal for you both to have to go through. Im sure that this will make sure that others do put the lid down.

Hi i use finacard and shredded paper for nesting and they just love it. They drag it all over the cage and use it to stuff their igloos and their sputnik and their tardis.

I have a german shepherd that is being treated for this at the moment she was given a weeks course of strong antibiotics and had a review after a week and she has been given another weeks course of antibiotics and doesnt need to go back to the vets when shes finished . Usually i would put it onto a broken piece of farleys rusk as it soaks it up and the rats think theyre yummy. However if its whiskey then i have to syrynge feed her it as she wont take anything with it in.
