Re: Joey, I will never kiss you again :(

Kept my room spider free for me. I only realised she did it when she was free ranging and there was a squeak like a fighting squ...

Re: Concerns for Rupert
Hmm...I would perhaps say stroke or maybe heart condition? Stroke mainly because of the speed of his deterioration-literally overnight-especially with the seemingly fast deterioration of his senses.
I'm sorry I don't know fully. I hope the little man feels more like himself again soon

Re: Concerns for Rupert
Front paws deterioration is a classic symptom of PT, however I'm sure that it doesnt happen over night. Although someone feel free to correct me. Is he disorientated now, is he able to walk about at all using all four paws? Maybe he was just very sleepy  I've had rats that were very sleepy, an...

Re: Long Lived Ratties
Tempest lived until 1 week before her 41st month day. She was just, well, awesome. Three surgeries, one litter, a large lump under her front paw and she was bright as the day i got her. The only reason she was pts was due to a lump on her cheek similar to a zymbals gland tumour and i was NOT letting...

Re: I need advice / help
This may not help, but my experience is that girls dont slow down. Tempest is nearly 41 months and up until 3 weeks ago she was just as pingy as she always was. She suprised even me :o However, girls get to know you by sight, by smell and by love. They use you as their "base" when they get used to y...

Re: long distance train journey for an old girly - will she cope
Agreed. My girly (40 months) is possibly the most travelled ratty ever. Shes been to portsmouth and back, to norwich and back, to colchester and back, and colchester and back etc. She doesnt mind car journeys at all, she just falls asleep. Trains are a bit quieter and less fraught with harsh stops e...

Re: iron-on interfacing?
I wouldnt use it as it is an adhesive, try using the stuff you have to sew in (just tack it in before stitching).
