Re: Furet Plus shelf wont unscrew!

But when one gets stuck i pop the shelf off the square/rectable bit and then saw it off yup same, those shelves are a nightmare, i've taken all of the...

Re: Rat Harness?

i bought 1 of these years ago and it didnt go down very well, most can wriggle straight out of it, some hate it and just sit still trying to 'groom' it off. the only ones i've found that didn't mind it are giant squishy bucks who care about nothing but lounging around and aren't at all interested in...

Re: helping with whiffy rats!

thanks for all the tips! i shall def get some tap a drop, and give that a try. i chucked all cardboard tubes this morning, and shall create a massive stock pile of hammocks for more frequent rotations! Tie bunches of fresh herbs in their cage. Eg, mint, fennel, basil etc. i especially like this idea...

Re: Questions about neutering

my vet charged £40 also, i called several vets and they all quoted around £40. Post op care is usually fairly easy, all i do is keep them in a quiet area and let them sleep it off, i keep cage accessories to a minimum so that they dont run and clamber around and then cause the stitching to come lose...

Re: brain tumour? too young?

sounds like an ear infection to me. even if the infection has cleared up sometimes head tilts are permanent but don't effect the rat in anyway. if he's losing weight though then thats a sign that somethings going on. he needs a course of antibiotics just to clear up any infection that might still be...

Re: Worried about my new boy.....

i had one with mites a few weeks back, i treated him twice for them to make sure that the mites were gone, but he continued to scratch at the scabs for about 2 weeks after i was sure the mites had gone, as the scabs healed they itched, so he'd scratch them off and make them bleed, and then they'd he...
