Re: Help! - Need advice following a vet visit.....

I did suspect pyometra but the vet didn't seem certain because the bleeding had stopped. Thankfully it hasn't returned but of course that doesn't mean that everything's ok :( I did free range Molly with the others last night and she didn't seem interested in their company and yet again, Pan was stea...

Re: respatory problem

You have to think of your existing boy and what is best for him and it sounds like he needs to go to the vet. Leaving him will only make him worse if he does have anything wrong with him. It's hard making the decision to go to the vet but the sooner you take him, hopefully the better he'll be. I've ...

Re: Help! - Need advice following a vet visit.....

Okay - I'll take a look at that. I'm free ranging them tonight to see what happens. I think the feeding seperately shouldn't be a problem but it's the drinking that bothers me. Molly usuallly drinks quite a bit anyway and has done since she was a baby and I'm worried that if I put Pan back, she'll d...

Help! - Need advice following a vet visit.....

My older girl Molly isn't in a good way at all. She's been really slowing up of late and I've been putting it down to her age (although she's only just over 2 years). She's had a rather large belly for a while and it doesn't seem like fat to me but after numerous visits to the vet, they can't feel a...

Re: What do you think of fancy toilet?

I sell the rat sized ones in my shop - we had them in with some rabbit cages but they were too small for bunny bottoms :) They are big enough however to accomodate ratty bottoms lol. The hooded ones that are usually available for rats are about £7.99 but we sell ours for £2.99 (because we have large...

Recommending Breeders

Well this is about what the title suggests :) ...

Can anyone recommend some good breeders to me? I'm looking to get a small group of breeder rats - possibly a mix of breeder stock - e.g a pair from one breeder and a pair from another....

Many thanks!

Joint Support - Which one?

Hello - Could anyone please recommend a joint support for an elderly ratty? Her kidneys arent great either and is on a kidney friendly diet. Any suggestions on that would be much appreciated too.

Many thanks :)

Re: Overweight or ill?

I did wonder at a tumor as she's been getting rounder and rounder for a while but I just assumed she was putting on a little padding lol. She's let me have a feel and doesn't appear to be in any discomfort - other than having to stay still for a few minutes  I could be fussing over nothing but ...

Overweight or ill?

Help! One of my rats, Molly approx 20 months old, has a rather large belly. I have seen a few overweight rats and yet Molly looks different. She seems like a normal ratty shape and size all over apart from her belly. I will try and post some pics later on this evening for people to take a look. The ...

That's great - Thanks very much!
Should I get them both done or is it okay to get just one of the guys done?

Question about Neutering

Hello. I have two rescue boys that I'm currently trying to rehome but I'm having trouble as one is a bully to other rats. He gets on with his cagemate pretty well usually but lately he's been picking on him a lot more. I'm in a dilemma as to what to do. When I had them, I was told that they were six...
