Re: why dont responsible breeders breed for hairless?

Don't worry folks, these babies will be ok because the breeders sister is a vet..... my sister is a trainee nurse though somehow this hasn't increased my medical knowledge :???:
She has told me to mind my own business, the impression I got is I wasn't the first concerned with her 'plan'

Re: why dont responsible breeders breed for hairless?

Hopefully she will come here, because if she has already done the mating then she will need help :(

Are double rex's effected similarly? I know my Hoggles sister dropped dead aged 6months for no apparent reason as did her sister aged about 7-8 months :-?

Yes I always get covered too! For more delicate areas I spray it out into something sterilized and paint it on with a sterile paint brush!

Re: Plastikote or Japlac spray and where to buy?

I think they do different types for different uses. For it to be rat safe it must say for use on toys (meaning if a child puts it in their mouth it wont be toxic - once dry of course!) if it doesnt mention toys dont waste your money. Also the paint on stuff goes further buttakes a lot longer, anothe...

Its dust extracted and Ive not had any problems with any unwanted bits in there or dust either! Be...

Re: turning a good vet into a good rat vet.....

I can't believe you've got a vet thats scared of rats, thats a bit mental. why become a vet in the first place? he also had to muzzle our dog before he would inspect his paw to see if there was a cut. Motley might be big and called Motley but he wasnt even scared or acting scared or wary at all app...

turning a good vet into a good rat vet.....

Any tips? Living where I live and not driving I could really do with having a good local rat vet. Currently if I'm confident of the problem eg respy needing baytril i see vet a. Vet a is scared of rats, refuses to handle them so gives me whatever prescription I ask for and charges nothing for consul...
