Re: pro's and con's of a Baytril shot?
Is there any reason it has to be baytril you are injecting? Marbocyl is very similar to baytril but without have the burning side effects. I wouldn't have a baytril injection on one of my rats, they can be very nasty things, they can cause a lot more damage than a couple of weeks of irritation, such...

Re: how long does galastop take to work?
I am not sure that ritas lump every actually reduced in size, but it changed from being a hard lump to a soft swelling (and didn't cause her a problem after that).
I am sure it is worth having a word with the vet and seeing how they feel about it. Good luck with her

Re: Biased forum
As for getting held up on points of language, you and I must have an error in communications here (that or someone's being a tad pedantic, I will reserve judgement on that one as a forums a difficult place to figure these things out).. I am not being pedantic at all, unless you mean consider it ped...

Re: Biased forum
Woody, the reason I revised my statement is because I could not find the link that backed up what I had originally said, I did see it, but it was a while ago, and I just can't remember where. In the interests of providing references I retracted my statement (because I would have thought to be able ...

Ignoring the rest of the points as there are far too many to cover, you tell us: Most of what's printed in scientific journals is bunk. That's a well known fact, it's been demonstrated time and time again.. Then when challenged, you revise that down to just almost all medical journals (that are obvi...

Re: Human cakes that rats can eat
When it is their birthday, we get them any old cake that looks ok and isn't too covered in bad stuff. It isn't good for them, but it is their birthday and a few times a lifetime doesn't hurt anyone!

Re: Wild Pet rats
ugh i put out rat posion for wild rats they can kill my horses so wild rats are a big no no  If you make sure they can't get access to guns and knives, they are quite safe. Ah, I understand now. I was picturing horse sized rats with big fangs. Makes much more sense now you have pointed out t...

Sorry Beri, I thought she asked for input as to the site, not just info on what should be a priority

I think it will be a good site and a very useful resource for people who want info on colours. Seemed a bit slow but not too slow and as you say you are changing it. One thing that bugged me on the pages was why the flowers and plants at the top for a site on rat colours? Every page they seemed to c...

Re: Biased forum
Woody, I do not expect people to agree with me, no. But, I do find it disrespectful when people criticize something they have little experience of. That is why their mainstream science is not reporting the successes with alternative approaches. So, what happens is people read what they read in main...

Re: Spaying a female to cure aggression?
Yes, we have. Jamie was very agressive (mentally so) with other rats when we first got her. We had a hell of a job introducing her, and constant fights when we first got her. Just over a year ago (I was clearing out the calendar yesterday which is the only reason I know that), we had her spayed. We ...

Re: Biased forum
I just think some people dont respect other peoples views sometimes. Of course they don't, and they don't have to, as long as they respect the right to have them. There are many views that people hold that I find fairly abhorrent or ridiculous and can never respect, but where they don't hurt anyone...

If only real furniture was as easy to repair as computer tables - it would be nice to have some that was like 'normal' peoples furniture
