Condoms, I opened a draw once and Katie had climbed up the back of the unit, and made a nest out of them! She was a bald rat so was fairly slimy after that!

Ah sorry to here about bubbles.

Motorway is in her carrier, she seems shocked but for the best part fine. Im gonna see how she is throough out the night and the morning.

I've spoken to the vet and they don't think there is a need to bring her in, shes now in a carrier with some tea towels and come cucumber to help calm her. The vet said to keep her calm and warm and keep an eye on her and its bleeding. It doesnt seem to be bleeding much at all; with only a couple of...

I've just caught motorways tail tip and itsde-gloved, I'm ringing the vet is there anything i can do in the mean time? :(

I have bought live meal worms before and they love them!
I think people have done crickets too.
Not sure about insects etc from the garden but Terror has been known to eat spiders and flys...

Hey, In the past my girls bitting the cage usually comes down to either wanting to get out or boredom. If you don't already try scatter feeding or hiding treats in scrunched up tissues around the cage etc. anything to give them a bit more to do when there in the cage... actually a hard boiled egg in...

Since its been hot recently I use a large dog bowl with water in at the base of the lower 'deck';
I love it when its hot and you stick it in, Motorway runs at the cage door to get out, then realises she now has a pool and turns round and gets in that instead.
