He has always been a healthy boy but all of a sudden today he keeps falling over and is having problems cleaning himself. He is booked in at the vets tomorrow and I just hope it isnt anything serious as he is only 16 ...

Re: surgery or no surgery???

The girl I had operated on just went straight back into her normal cage but I moved everything low down so that if she fell she wouldnt hurt herself. I never seperated her from the other girls as I was told this would be very stressful for her and we havnt had any problems. I am also doing daily cle...

Re: surgery or no surgery???

One of my girls just had a large lump removed on thursday and she is 19 months old so as long as your girl is otherwise healthy I would have it removed. I would get it done sooner rather than later as some lumps can grow very large, very quick. It cost me £80 and my vet is letting me pay it up. Here...

Cleaning the Explorer

What dose everyone use to clean the bars of their explorers? At the moment I am using white vinegar and water but worry that in time it might start to take the coating off. I may be wrong but thought I would ask anyway.

Thanks x

What to do with a bully?

I recently got 2 boys, Steve and Moota, of a friend of mine. She said they have always had wee fights but I didnt relise how bad it was till now. Moota is constanly picking on Steve. Steve is covered in bits and his tail is now just a mess so I think it will be another trip to the vets for me. I thi...

Intro Help Please

I have only ever introduced girls to each other before and it has been very easy. I have done it only 3 times before but all I done was put the girls in the bath with each other, let them meet and then put them altogether in a clean, bare cage and I have never had any problems. The thing is I have 2...

I dont think I could fit another explorer in my room so will need something smaller.

Re: Broken Tail

Thanks for the replys guys. I had Steve at the vet this morning and the vet says because it has started to heal and looks healthy then I just need to keep an eye on it. If I feel it is causing any pain or isnt healing properly then he will remove it. He's seems ok with it so I think he will just hav...
