Re: Zymbals Gland Tumours

What are the other signs to tell if Ben is anemic? He has lost loads of weight but I put that down to the tumor itself and to the fact that he can only eat liquid food now. His ears are very pale. He sleeps most of the day but comes out every morning and evening and is really active then. We rescued...

I don't know how much longer Ben has left :( There's a few pics of his ZGT growing here: http://www.hnpaws.co.uk/page12.html but even since that last picture it has grown alot bigger and looks really bad but Ben is s...

Re: Wheezing babies

Thank you for that.
We had asked our vet and he said to give them each a drop of baytril! Thankfully I asked on here first.

Wheezing babies

Hi,
Can anybody please offer some advice. We have rescued a mum and 11 babies. The mum was very poorly when we got her but is making a little progress but some of the babies are still really wheezy - any suggestions? (they are coming up to 5 weeks old)

Re: babies health

Hi, Thank you for the reply. We think the wheezing is due to the mum not being fed enough and the stress of the journey here, they do seem to be alot calmer now which is good as they are not wheezing as much. The mum seems alot happier too after some nice food. We will keep an eye on them and if any...

Re: blood around eye

It sounds like porphyrin. Small amounts of porphyrin once in a while is nothing to worry about, I think it comes from behind the eye to keep it moist (am not sure) but it could also be he is abit stressed about something. If it isn't there all the time I wouldn't worry too much.

Re: Intro question

The babies sound really curious bless them. Dot may take abit longer to get used to them as being older she is probably more set in her ways but in time I'm sure they will all get along fine together. Keep their cages next to each other for abit and see if Dot settles down with them near by. I know ...

Re: Intro question

I would say it's too soon for you to introduce them properly yet. You should take abit of time getting to know them and gaining their trust first and with the cages next to each other they should get used to each others smell etc. Puffing up the fur is nothing to worry about it just means your ratti...
