Re: Do I need to take her to the vets? (Eye Issue)

Hey,

without seeing it's hard to tell but with my boys if I am worried they go to the vets, better safe then sorry.

Hopefully it is nothing but always worth a check.

hope it is all OK

Re: Changing rat's name?

Sammy and Fred were named when I got them and I don't think I had the heart to change it (despite not naming any of my gang Human names). With only Sammy left people I meet find it very funny when I run off strange names and then end with "and Sammy". Saying that I do tend to call him Sam not Sammy ...

Re: My Parkies are biting!

I would add that I had considered fixing Bo' but as there was cage changes (death of my alpha) and I personally felt I would need to talk it through with Amzy, Raz and KatieJ. I decided to give him some time to settle. He was shoving the boys around but only biting me, had he started biting cagemate...

Re: My Parkies are biting!

Hey, on the mobile so this will be brief (sorry). Bohater from a very early age clearly had his eye on alpha and (when anode passed) headed straight into the spot. He did go though a phase after this of being very moody, despite being as tractable as play doh before he began squeeking, nipping and j...

Re: Adverts appearing as replies on FR

not much point the Mods wasting time doing that when they need to work on the new forum.

As Nikki123 said - shouldn't happen in the new forum.

Re: Plastic Corner Shelves - Design Flaws & Suggestions

For me the I would like a inch or so lip at the back of the shelf (the two bits touching the cage) to stop widdling out of the cage and kicking out poops. Some "tie holes" in on the floor in the three corners would be good so that you could make a cushion and tie it on (kind of like a seat cushion)

Re: Adverts appearing as replies on FR

Don't forget you can also report them (if they haven't been reported yet)

That way the Mods/Admin can go in and get rid of them quicker. :D

Re: Post Castration Questions

Heya, with all my boys who have been fixed (4) they have been kept away from the rest of the group for a minimum of a week to heal, by then the smell will have gone. How long you should keep him separate will really depend on how long it takes for his hormones to subside (I have seen really aggressi...

Re: Newbie - rat selection help

Hey and welcome, rats are lovely, social animals but there are definitely a few things you can do to make sure you have the best start in keeping them. Socialisation and tractability begins pretty much at birth so to get lovely, licky babies who want to explore I would go to either a breeder (Nation...

Re: Pringles tubes

Hey,

if you do I would absolutely suggest putting a slit running all the way down in them before putting them in the cage. That way if a baby is too chunky and gets stuck you can open it up easily.

Re: An overview of the new forum

By the way ... my kittens are never booked in advance, as I don't keep a waiting list so I sometimes do have kittens available. People are welcome to wait if they want, but really I only ask people for applications when I actually have kittens. I guess it's time for me to stop breeding rats  ...

I was looking at this exact one ans was not sure if they would be able to get around or if the gaps would be too big. *hand hovers over the "add to basket" icon*
