Re: Room Divider

Hi
Correx is light but sturdy and can be stuck with wide tape. It still folds down too.

What's the best option......

To free range a group of 3 and a group of 2 : at the same time by splitting my playpen in half? Pros - more time as both groups out together Cons - I won't fit in playpen so just them and toys etc and not that much room Or free range one group at a time in a larger playpen Pros - I fit in too. More ...

Re: 2 of my boys have "fallen out with me"!!

Aww. Thanks for the hug :)

They are better with me now. Always greet me at the cage door but hate to be held. I will keep trying with them though. Theyre still a bit rough with each other but not To any degree of injury.

Thanks

Anne

Free range question

Due to failed intro's I've two small groups of 3 and 2 (males) Currently free range separately. I've been reading old threads on the forum where people free range rats together that don't live together. How is this possible? Surely it's like an intro? By the way I would like to get my group together...

Freeranging 2 groups at same time

I have a correx playpen that I use to free range. Due to failed intros I have two groups of males - a 3 and a 2. It would be help to me to be able to free range both at the same time. Does anyone do this? If I managed to somehow divide the playpen would they be distracted by the other groups smell a...

Re: Still cant hold rats

I have 4 breeder rats and 1 pet shop rat who is by far the most at ease with being picked up. I believe it's because I knew where he came from that i tried more with him - dressing gown treatment night after night. It works. I've just started this with my breeder rats as I think they need it (a litt...

"free ranging" down your jumper!!

If on occasions normal free ranging can't be done - is time on your shoulder or in your dressing gown / jumper as good?

Thanks for all the view points, I'm really intrigued :) I suppose I don't know until I meet the girly, I don't even know her name yet, so have no idea if it'll suit or not. Ianto (pronounced yan-toe) Please tell me you got that from Torchwood? :hearts: I love Torchwood and Im Welsh too!!!! I think ...

Re: Green Mile or Ecobed

I've had to sieve my entire bale of Green Mile, I hate it, dusty, smelly, much like Finacard. The rats prefer digging in it, but it's not worth the sneezes- from me or the rats! I'm planning on going back to Auboise or Ecobed soon. It's a shame because the rats dig in it like crazy, but they don't ...

Cute things that your rats do.......

Ive been having a hard time "pet-wise" lately, even toying with the idea of giving my ratties up purely as Im a stress head and they should be enjoyed and due to failed intros (all my fault), fighting, vet visits, unsuitable room that they live in / moving them upstairs on hot days - I had decided I...
