I have used the baytril/ronaxon combo. It can be given at the same time. It didn't help my boy unfortunately (though I think maybe my ronaxon dose was too low) but I think it did help one of AlienRat's boys.

Have you got him on any medication for the CHF? Fortekor can often make them feel a lot better and have more energy again. Could he continue to live with Blessi as he is used to her, they could perhaps live together in the cage you suggested which would make it a bit easier for him if you find that ...

I wouldn't seperate him if he was mine, I didn't seperate Jazz and he was fine and it healed up so quickly. If you seperate him he will probably be bored and miserable and may start picking the wound.

If you are worried I think it would be worth taking him to the vet. You might get given some metacam which is a painkiller and anti-inflammatory to give him for a few days. It would certainly make him feel more comfortable. HTH

It sounds as if he may have had an abscess which has burst, was it to one side of his penis? Jazz had a huge hole there, it was called a preputial(sp) abscess, he cleaned it up so well you could see a membrane inside, it healed up very quickly. Hope your boy will be ok.

Brown wee sounds as if it is blood in his wee, it is important for him to have some antibiotics for it. I recently nearly lost one of my boys when he had an urinary infection with blood in his wee. I hope he will soon be ok.

If the vet thinks she has CHF she could have Fortekor, it is really good for that and can be used as a diagnostic. I think the dose is a fifth of a tablet a day. You should see some change in her in a few days on fortekor if it is CHF
