Hi,
I have used the baytril/ronaxon combo. It can be given at the same time. It didn't help my boy unfortunately (though I think maybe my ronaxon dose was too low) but I think it did help one of AlienRat's boys.
Hope it helps your ratty.

Have you got him on any medication for the CHF? Fortekor can often make them feel a lot better and have more energy again. Could he continue to live with Blessi as he is used to her, they could perhaps live together in the cage you suggested which would make it a bit easier for him if you find that ...

I have had rats on long term ceporex and it has been very successful for me. I use the tablets and they have half twice a day crushed in food. Alexi has just been put on long term ceporex as every time he is off antib's he goes down hill, sneezing, noisy breathing and miserable. My vet has just sugg...

I have had Alexi on Senior aid for about 2 months now and the difference in him is amazing. He used to spend all his time sleeping and avoiding any exercise due to injuring one of his legs and hip in the past which left him rather stiff and with some pain, but now at free range time he actually has ...

As Sabby mentioned my boy Ebony (RIP) rubbed his chin and hands on the floor of the cage when first offered senior aid. What I did with him was mix half the dose in some baby rice on a teaspoon and gave each of the 2 older boys twice a day, gradually I reduced the amount of baby rice so they got use...

The vet did the crystal test on my boy Mikki's urine and they did find crystals in it. I was told that you can give something (medicine) to help keep the urine more acidic if there are crystals that show it to be too alkaline. Cystaid can be used to help protect the bladder too. Mikki has just finis...

Sorry about your boy. Are they having much greenstuff? it might be worth cutting it out for a few days if they are. Cooked rice is my favourite for squishy poo, it does help. But as it is actual diarohea I would take him to the vet for a check as it does sound more than the squishy poo caused by too...

I have a boy that had blood in his urine. He was given zithromax which stopped the bleeding very quickly (he had to have a 2nd course though, the week he was on it first time was not long enough). He is also on cystaid which is also the same thing my cat was given when she got reoccuring cystitis, i...
