Re: Dove breeder

we breed dove :) We don't work towards them, but we do get them out.

Emma J breeds for Dove, and Kyra, as Jem said. There are a good few others too :) Ed and Deb have started breeding for Dove too... really there are lots of people to talk to about it :)

Re: Breeders, do you ever just have those days..

Still... for me nothing can beat when someone who you do know - and secretly always wished would want to share their life with *your* rats because you respect them as a rattie human so much, comes and asks for your babies. That always does it for me! I have to say this is a great feeling! I've had ...

Re: Just a few questions...

1. When the kittens are ready so leave home and go on to new homes how do you decide which ones you want to keep for future breeding? This is really dependent on the litter. Sometimes you aim to keep bucks, sometimes does, sometimes you ened a particular variety. Always health temperament and type s...

Re: Can she get pregnant?

I strongly suggest that you separate them *immediately* having a litter at that age could do no end of damage with her not having had any before and not been raised well.

Hopefully the poor animal isn't pregnant. Please take her away from the boys at once.

Fosters needed for south wales rescue

have been chatting to caz of south wales animal rescue today. she's a bit worried as she has some rats coming in who are 9 weeks old, and really need an experienced hand. there's a chance they could be pregnant, and at least one is possibly hairless. She has some boys too, but she herself is moving ...

Re: What does everybody breed for?

Russian Silver - 1 line, and Russian Silver Agouti - the second line Though, I do plan to eventually combine the two, at the moment, I'm keeping them separate. I don't do Dumbo, I have stopped doing rex. I do get out other realted varieties, such as russian blue, russian blue agouti, russian dove, r...

Re: Visit to a rodent farm (with pics!)

if petshops stop selling animals? we have a big party - because it will only be left to good breeders. Admittedly there'll still be some awful breeders, but when they realise that they can't offload their poorly bred animals onto these petshops, then they'll pack in, or improve. and if this doesn't ...
