Re: Furet Plus shelf wont unscrew!

Thankyou, its off :D. No need for my first plan (being thrown out the window, then stamped on) think I might cable tie the rest too before they do it.

The pics really helped aswell, thankyou

Furet Plus shelf wont unscrew!

But the stupid shelf wont come off, one of the screws wont come off, it just twists round not budging. Anyone had this problem? How do I get the shelf off? Should of known better when buying co...

Re: Whats the worst second hand cage you've ever seen?

I'm guessing rescues will have the worst stories here as we frequently get rats and other animals handed in at the rescue I volunteer at that have obviously not been cleaned out in weeks. If it was me, I'd make sure I handed my animals in at least a clean state if nothing else. Doesn't hurt to give...

Keeping them cool?

Hello, I will apologise for keep asking questions but these are my first rats, and I over think things. Today, its been very warm. It still is. We live in a top floor flat, which really does make it worse and the rats have seemed really 'off' today, Shadow especially but he's larger, chubbier and ha...

Well, I started picking him up again and all he did was boggle and clean himself and then ran about with his usual goofy run. So hes back to normal now. Thanks for the help everyone, not sure what I would of done if it wasnt for this forum

Re: Sudden fear and screaming rat

Just to update, he seems alot better now. Had a bit more trouble as I started thinking he wasnt pooping, but watermelon banana and sweetcorn sorted that. I havnt tried picking him up properly yet, but hes been jumping about tonight, taking food from us and letting us stroke him again. And of course ...

Re: Sudden fear and screaming rat

Luckilly enough we have a lovely vet, owns rats herself and is always great with Shadow. The only person getting more upset there was me as he kept screaming and all I wanted to do was cry. He done it again last night, took their box out to change the bedding and he reversed out, went underneath my ...

Shadows really hurt his paw

He was fine when I had him and Sharlee out this morning but when I came home I picked them up to get them out noticed his foot is abit swollen, and he wont put any weight on it. Theres no visable injurys apart from the swelling but hes n...

Update on Shadow

About a week or so ago I posted a new topic worried that going vets will make it difficult for trust and things and got alot of good advice. I gave him a good check over and noticed fur loss in random patches aswell. So, at the vets it turns out he also had a pretty bad skin parasite thing which req...
