Sparkey ate some of my steroid cream!

Whilst I was free ranging my ratties today, I was putting my cream on today (its a mild steroid cream called hydrocortizone which I've been using for my allergic reaction to my ratties) and I put it on my bed because they're not allowed up there anymore. Anyway, I lost track of sparkey for a minute ...

Re: Has any one had any experience with this cage?

Ratty_Rhian: The explorer I messaged about was one of those from Lancashire, the other ones too far. But thanks anyway :) indigoj: I am frequently checking Gumtree/Preloved for explorers, with no such luck so far. But I think me and my ratties will have to wait to find an explorer rather than go for...

Re: new rats...

I don't know about the missing fur sorry, but when I got my 2 girls they stunk! But now they've settled down, got a decent diet & bedding, they smell lovely. So they might just need time to settle down and everything before they start to smell nice. :)

Re: Has any one had any experience with this cage?

Didn't want to start a new topic so I'm just posting again in here. Basically, I didn't get mailed back about the explorer so I'm pretty much presuming it's a lost cause. Now I have no idea what cage to get, & I thought you lovely people would be able to help me with this decision. I want a rather l...

Re: Rat pulling up cover during freerange..

Oooh, I just re-read what I put, and realised I worded it awfully.
What I meant was still having the sheet at the bottom, but with a blanket to hide in too? I have no idea if this will stop her digging up the sheet, but it's a distraction?

Re: Rat pulling up cover during freerange..

Why don't you get them like a towel or a blanket an scrunch it up so they can hide/burrow in there, instead of the sheet? My ratties love to have something to burrow into :D

Re: Has any one had any experience with this cage?

*googles Chesterfield* It's pretty far away from where I am, I'm like North west. But if I don't end up getting this Explorer, then chances are, I'll be passing near there next month if there still selling by then. So thanks :D & I have one *extremely* confident rat, and one that's getting there. Bu...

Re: Has any one had any experience with this cage?

Goshh, so many cages to choose from! I really like the look of the abode, but from the little bit of research I just quickly did, there doesn't seem to be any second hand/cheap ones going. I saw one for £99.99 new, which I'm considering. Also, another member is advertising an explorer cage in the ma...

Re: Has any one had any experience with this cage?

Thanks for the warning :| that could have ended very badly, but glad you got your money back philosophy fox. & I was thinking about getting it because it's big & cheaper than any I've seen, and as I'm selling half of my stuff to get my ratties a bigger cage, I want it to be worth it and not need to ...

Porphyrin

Yesterday my sister noticed that one or both of my female rats had porphyrin on there noses, but when we tried to look closely, it had gone (possibly been brushed off or something) So I checked again this morning, to notice that one of them had porphyrin on her nose again. Both of there breathing is...
