Don't have much advice but you have my sympathy!

Also, budget for a cage is around £60, so I'm a tad strapped for cash - I've been researching the freddie 2's and the cheapest I can find is £100.

Thankyou so much for all the advice!!! :D I'm a lot less worried, although I'm still still slightly nervous about doing something wrong. I guess that never goes away though? Hey, I'm 15, 16 in August - when I was very young, my family kept two rats, I must have been around 6-7ish.
