Re: Plastikote or Japlac spray and where to buy?

Thanks very much Athena. I will read the can and make sure it states that it`s safe for toys or children. :)

Re: Plastikote or Japlac spray and where to buy?

Thanks guys. There is`nt a Wilkinsons near me just Poundland an Poundstretchers. But I do have the DIY chains I suppose. Thanks for the tip Athena about it saying `project paint` as I was`nt aware that it might be harmful? Do they do child safe and other non-safe sprays then? Obviously I did`...

Plastikote or Japlac spray and where to buy?

I`ve posted this in Other Chat rather than Environment as it`s more of a DIY question. - Note: moved because cage modifications are covered in Habitat I have a barred lid to a gabber LUX plastic tank that is a spare cage for clean-outs, but the barred lid has rusted up due to age and I wanted to giv...

Re: Please oppose these rabbit breeding farms

I never thought his would happen in the UK. Breeding farms to rear animals for FUR and meat? I was`nt aware that rabbit meat was all that popular anyway and fur farming is always a no go area. I`m appauled that something like this should be granted permission in this country. People who eat ...

Re: Cheapest Megazorb with delivery?

Had a look on Hay Experts and Farmway. Hay Experts with delivery would be £12.19p and Farmway would be £11.28p. So not a lot of difference between them really. If I can`t source it locally, I know I can at least buy it from either of these. :)

Thanks guys. x

Re: Cheapest Megazorb with delivery?

Thanks poppyrat. So it`s a 15kg bag then? Not too bad I suppose since I make my substrate last a while and spot clean daily. It`s just for my two mice right now. I bought a 14 litre bag of Carefresh a few weeks ago just to mix in with their Bedxcel but the cost is outweighing the luxury! I did...

Cheapest Megazorb with delivery?

Does anyone know who is the cheapest supplier of Megazorb including delivery to Central Scotland please? I hav`nt done a great deal of research as yet but farmway.co.uk sell it and deliver for a total of £11.28p which is reasonable given I pay roughly £10.00 for a 20kg bale of Bedxcel locally. Also,...

That`s great! :) I`ll have a read at that and if aloe vera seems a better proposition to have in my medicine cabinet, I must get some in. Thanks Sabby! :smileyrat:

Re: Views and stories from anyone who has used Colloidal Silver

Hi Sabby! Now that I`ve had time to use it, I see what you mean about it being an `underground` product, even though there are many testimonials from people who swear by it. Gems` swelling/scab has`nt reduced in size at all, so I`ve only been using the CS to prevent bacterial build up really. I can`...

Re: Views and stories from anyone who has used Colloidal Silver

I agree on that one. You have to raise an eyebrow when you read things like `a cure for aids or cancer`........ which is quite frankly, silly. I think anyone with a brain reading or beliving that are fooling themselves. It`s those remarks that fuel the bad debates against CS and anger the authoritie...

Re: Views and stories from anyone who has used Colloidal Silver

Thanks for your reply spoiled_rat. I`m intregued by all the people who say it`s `quackery` because Colloidal Silver is a proven antimicrobial, although I can understand the fears and thoughts of large government agencies like the FDA and other such bodies not wanting this product marketed as a `cure...

Views and stories from anyone who has used Colloidal Silver

I have recently bought a bottle (with dropper) of Colloidal Silver as I keep mice. I knew this product was discussed on here at various times in the past and done a search to find some people had indeed sung it`s praises. I know it is used by humans and on animals with good reports, but feel there i...

Re: Is It Time To Help Him To The Bridge? *warning: photos*

I`ve just found some info on seizures in the Rat Health care book: Seizures: Are not common in rats. One owner discovered that seizures were related to the amount of sugar in her rats diet. Even the sugar on oral medication would be enought to trigger a seizure. As long as the rats diet was low in s...
