Re: Ideas for gay/bisexual support thread

Note: subsequent discussion on the terms used to describe different sexualities etc. has been split into its own thread, here Wish id seen ^that^ before i clicked 'Other Chitchat' to discover id seemingly started a thread.. Just hope it doesnt turn into a massive argument, because i don't wanna be ...

Re: Changing rat's name?

The only rats that have come to me complete with names were Roly, Miles, Charlie & Felix. Of those, Miles name was orig. 'Mel', which i hated with a passion. Miles was suggested by mum, & it stuck :) The others just suited their names, & knew their names, so they stuck. Then there was a pair, roughl...

Re: GMR.... What about GMC??

Our attic is filling up nicely with spare/old cages, much to my dads annoyance ( ) Currently theres an old gerbil tank, a zoozone with a wire cage attached to the top (it came with a rat i got off my sisters mate, & is therefore referred to as 'Rolys cage'), a spare zoozone base (the top broke...

Re: Wash bag for hammocks?

Just ordered a small one. Perhaps should've got a large size, but i think this'll do me fine just for hammocks - i only have an explorer with 3 boys, & because i dont have many hammocks or that, its not like i leave stuff to mount up :)

Re: Massive facial lump!

Its all down to the owner, you know him best of course. As long as he is happy, thats the main thing. Watch him closely though, especially in terms of eating. Its completely your call, and I'm so sorry you are going through this, it is heartbreaking. Scritches to Miles :hearts: hugs to you x Thanks...

Re: Massive facial lump!

Personally, and this is just my experience and opinion so please dont take this the wrong way at all! When their teeth are out of alignment, thats when I decide to PTS. For me, thats when ZGT starts to affect their quality of life. I'm sorry about your little man, glad he is still perky though x It...

Re: I think my rats will hate me :(

My lad will take baytril hidden in malt paste. Its fab at the min, as he gets it as a 'reward' for letting me clean his abcess.. On the subject of trust/them hating you - iv been cleaning Miles' facial abcess several times a day now for about a wk. He tore my arm to pieces the first 3-4days, ...

Re: Massive facial lump!

So i left the lil guy under the care of my neighbours while i was away Mon-Weds. I gave Miles a realy good clean before we left on Mon night, as i didnt want Michael having to deal with abcess cleaning. Got back yday evening, Miles looked rather grumpy, so again, i immediatly dealt with his absess-y...

Re: Massive facial lump!

The lump popped last night! Cue mountains of white goo/liquid pouring from his ear, & green goo/liquid coming from the lump, all reeking horrendously. (apoligies to anyone eating their lunch while reading this..). I got as much out as i could, & again this morning. Hes not best pleased with me messi...

Re: Massive facial lump!

Thanks for all the responses :) Well Miles lump is growing, & altho iv seen no 'actual' blood, theres what looks like dried blood in his ear. Hes stil in good spirits - running around like a mad-thing anytime he gets the chance, but he is abit quieter than usual, tho that could be (& prob is) down t...

Re: Massive facial lump!

Not long home from vet. Vet (who was actually pretty nice, so obv. not who i remembered from before!) reckoned its a tumour, but theres an infection there too. So hes on Baytril for a wk, then back to see her, & we'll see from there. Not really sure how to feel, since i also had to deal with having ...
