Re: tiny rescued rats and advice needed

They look about 7/8 weeks to me, they are tiny but they have more mature heads. You can usually tell by the head if they are older and just tiny :)

Re: Radish leaves

They are ok for people, so must be for rats? They make nice pesto.

Re: 'pedigree' names

I just name the rats with names I like and think they suit. Usually the names just come to me. Some of them are longer like Pass the Buck, Gift Horse or Tough Guise and some are short like Vetivert or Gentian :D

Re: I need advice / help

I don't think people are being particularly fair. I would expect my rats to be perfetly handleable, not just be squeaky scrabbly rats because they were born like that. If I felt they were a problem I would keep them myself or home them to someone I felt was ok with a slightly more difficult rat. I d...

Re: New Puppy

It's very much up to you, but if the rats are in their cages they can't be harmed. I think trying would be fine. However, I would move the rats upstairs (do you still have my cage? I can't remember... I think you do!) if he gets a bit too interested. The rats could get scared but he could also get a...

I have been trying to get in contact with you to discuss this and whether you want to return the girls to me. If you could get in touch to let me know either way that would be great :)

Re: I need advice / help

My rats are fine if there is a ferret in the room, I've put unwell ferts in the garage as it's more sheltered, but if I have the smell of them on my hands they act like I'm the most terrifying thing they've ever come across! Perhaps it's that? I don't handle my cats very often at all so will only sm...

Re: I need advice / help

I would have a appreciated the chance to help rather than having a third party pm me to tell me this post was here. Are they always like this? When young girls are in season they are squeaky and jumpy, they do the tiddly wink frog act and vibrate their ears. They were in season the day you took them...

Re: one for the breeder, numbers?

Yes, I realised I'd made that mistake, but corrected it in the second post. I just couldn't be bothered to sort it out, I reckoned anyone reading it would be able to work out what I meant
