Re: A new type of coat?? *TONS of pictures and info*

I don't really have any knowledge about hairless/rex genes, but just wanted to put forward my thoughts about breeding ages and number of times to use a doe. I haven't started breeding yet, but will be mating up my first 2 does at the end of this month. These does were born in August and September la...

Re: Intros - progression into larger cage?

If they're fine, I wouldn't hang about really. I've done intros where i've literally came home and plonked a new rat in the cage and no one's batted an eyelid  One of my very first intros was 3 baby does to a neutered buck and they took to him like a duck to water, absolutely loved him, let the...

I would quarantine as best you can for 2 weeks, that's usually sufficient. Can't help with the tail, sorry. Best of luck with her

Re: Best easy available food?

But if you buy more than 1kg, the shipping is still that price (it will change at some point, i don't know what the weight scales are). I suppose I think of it as being so good because I would be buying upwards of 50kg at a time! If you're planning on buying things like shredded cardboard, pap...

Re: Best easy available food?

Rat Rations is extremely good value for money (they provide high quality food with a great number of ingredients which would cost you a lot more if you were to buy everything seperately), and their shipping is very fair indeed I think! But if you can get to a show where they're going to be, then you...

Re: pregnancy question

Well it does actually, since if you'd planned the litter I would assume that the doe had come from established lines whose breeder would be able to tell you which day their does usually birth on, and so when to take a friend out

Edited for spelling!!

Re: Plastic Corner Shelves - Design Flaws & Suggestions

Hows about not just normal corner shelf shape? Maybe some rectangle ones etc? I suppose i'm thinking kind of like having a cat litter tray hanging in the middle of the cage acting as another level, but having a shelf instead...
