Re: Safe fruit/veg waste? General veg questions..

I wouldn't feed raw broad bean (aren't they supposed to cause tummy ache and contain some of that 'nasty chemical' thing that kidney beans have? and I wouldn't feed any peelings, not of any sort I don't think, but especially not carrots due to some article i read probably about a decade ago, about t...

Re: Need help picking out new cage (old one was bitten through)

Hello, welcome to the forum. As the others have said that cage is way too small and she will be lonely on her own, so it's no big surprise that she would have chewed out of it. I would advise you to take it back to the shop to get a refund, even if they don't care about the cage size being too small...

Re: Furet plus cages

Most of them do, i think there are 2 or 3 (or even 4) different models and the one oldest one doesn't flat pack. ones that do are easy peasy, as the pannels just slide into ridges in the four corner poles. However when flat packed, the cage sides/top do not fit/sit in the base (the poles will, at an...

Re: Would this Blue have clotting issues?

I don't know about this, so just putting it out there, but would it be worth her having an injection of vitamin K before any procedure (I don't know how long before for it to take effect)

Re: Wire mesh

I'd recommend sheets rather than a roll, sheets are more expensive but so much easier to work with. the cheapest deal I found for 5mm square was i think with 'Screwfix'
ETA sorry just realised you only need one sheet for a lid. homebase sometimes has single sheets of 5mm for about £6

Re: Rat Friendly Wasp Killer

Sadly they dont work if theres an actual nest  Oh Poo! is that a fact? I was so pleased to see Hanlou's link as a friend's partner is having issue with a wasp nest in a mound of earth/garden near to the house and I'd never heard of waspinator before. I sent him the link. will it definitely not...

Re: Stop the smell

What RattyRhian said. If they are new they may smell more whilst they settle, and babies tend to just smell more anyway. I would say definitely remove the plug in as many creatures are allergic to them (I am one of those creatures :sickrat: ) I also find that trying to cover up smells with other sme...

Re: Baytril Dosage

I really feel for you, it's so frustrating! I hope people can come forward with answers about the baytril. I've tried zithromax with success, at 0.2 ml twice a day. Recently used with 2 for resp conditions (one was on a doe weight 410g and the other a slightly heavier buck). (it also really helps th...

Re: Weird lump-thing in old boys mouth (photos)

I really hope it's something harmless. But when my Boris had bone cancer in his mouth/jaw he got lumps like that - although they looked a bit darker and more bloody than this lump.
Good luck at the vets tommorow xxxx

I used to get this message, and there was nothing wrong with the photos, i could try again an hour later (or even 2 mins later) with the same photos and it would work fine. so perhaps just a temporary FR blip?

Good luck Beri!
Could you keep a list of cost and time, I'd be interested to know how much it costs to do (including everything like plasters for ouchy fingers) and how many hours it takes.
