Re: Explorer Trays

well i've re-measured & asked him for a 34.5" x 23" & 4" deep & he quoted £41-00 plus £12-76 for delivery :o Surely there's a cheaper option?! (I've already got the ikea one in there)

Re: insensitive vet

I would make a complaint. I know you don't want to think about it but I think it would provide some closure. I would say that it's the first time you'd been there & you thoroughly regret not being able to use your usual vet as he treats your rats with the respect they deserve & your choice to stay w...

I'm asking. lol

It is the exact size of the base but I'm not sure if they'd go in & out easily or get stuck!

Explorer Trays

For those of you who have bought trays for the explorer from John Hopewell... did you just get THIS ONE which is the exact measurenment? Or did you have to get one that was slightly smaller?

Re: Lost my rat :(

I think that you will have a better chance in the evening when rats are normally awake but before it gets too dark. The rat will come to your voice if it is still alive and it hears you. The manhole outside your house will only be a small covered drain. I found a brick and placed a small box on top...

Head Tilt...

Rainy has a head tilt. I'm hoping as it occurred very quickly - overnight, that it's just an eye infection & nothing more sinister. I took her to the vet & he gave her Baytril & she seems better already, so does that mean it's most likely to be an infection? Is there anything else the vet could/shou...

Re: Has anyone had Hopewell trays made for an explorer?

3) Did you get them made with a gap for the pop hole? I emailed for a quote & was told it wouldn't be possible to make the cut out - I don't see why not but there we go! Plus he makes THESE - which have a hole cut out so I don't see why it should be much different putting a hole in the corner of a ...

Re: Serious Fighting...

I'd keep an eye on them for the time being. It sounds to me that she has trouble socialising with other rats and doesnt totalling understand them, I should imagine it will take time. How is she with the other rats? Thanks, I just worry Leela will get really hurt. They are still squabbling so...

Serious Fighting...

Ellen & Leela keep fighting - & Leela keeps ending up with scabs on her back & now she has a more serious wound. I've cleaned it & put cream on it & it's healing nicely but it's quite concerning. All 5 of them have squabbles but never serious. They really shriek & go for each other :( When I first g...
