Re: Abscess needs to be lanced but can't go under
I use warm compress on abcesses to get them to the surface and then clean as described above. My recent abcess on a hairless doe took a good few days to come to the surface but it did and shes all healed up now.

One of my old foster ladies had bleeding the other evening and in the morning on the way to the vets she had puss. When she was spayed it was discovered that she had a growth in her uterus. Shes all stitched up and hopefully on the way to a full recovery. It was a bit scary with her age but I think ...

Re: Bleeding from Lady parts - Please help!
If it was coming from her lady parts it's quite likely it was pyo especially if she was poorly with it. Antibiotics can hold it off but very rarely get rid of it. A spay is the best way to eliminate the problem.

I think the beapher one is recommended, might've got the spelling wrong. Its from pets at home. The bob martin one is useless!

You can buy hibiscrub from boots. You may be able to buy it cheaper online.

Re: new rats...
I think staph infections can cause patches of missing fur also.
If they have mites you wouldn't see them anyway as they're not visible to the naked eye. I would treat them with ivomectin drops just to rule out mites. I don't see the need in bathing them.

Its worth phoning around local metal workers about trays, i got mine made for my explorer for £20 &£25 each and only...
