Re: found: cheap plastikite alternative

No idea! There are quite a few round here though.

It appears to be just paint and not enamel. So I will still have to plastikote perched etc bit will use this for cosmetic wear and tear on the outside of the cage!

Re: bitten/swollen urethra. with photo

Right I'm going to have to clean with salt water and give baytril as that's all I have. I can't get to the vet appointment this morning as my little girl has been up being sick all night, I'm a bit worried about her too, why does everything happen at once?
Any advice, anyone?

Re: My rescue rat bites

Castration will only solve hormonal problems so you need to work out why he is biting. Are you nervous when you handle them? Do your hands smell of food or other pets? He might be guarding the cage, I have a girl that does this though she nips rather than bits (comes sharp but no blood!) What is he ...

Re: Rats on a budget

does anyone have any tips for cheap litter trays? as my cage numbers keep growing recently I fell I cant justify £5 a time on a litter tray when that could buy food/dr squiggles/ivermectin/ vets fees etc!

Quick update, we finally collected the cage yesterday, not done a layout yet but on first inspection it appears a well built sturdy goff looking cage!
