vets in plymouth, devon

looking for a vets which has experience in ratties. preferably a vets that you know have performed successful castration
any recommendations? going to have a ring around anyway but thought it's worth asking! (and Stace suggested i did :P :) thanks)

thanks for the replies! we are in plymouth, i'm going to call around a few surgerys and book a consultation with someone who (hopefully) specialises in rodents/rats and has completed successful castrations! any suggestions for which vets would be appreciated, if any of you are in the area - we don't...

Toughie. How is his general health? well, his general health seems good, he was born at home with us and so far touch wood all of the babies we kept are in good health..except wepeel his sister who is getting better. he doesn't have snuffles/breathing difficulties..he is a big boy though! haha but ...

what are your opinions? here we have two cages.. one with mum and daughter in, wepeel and aimworth and the other used to be home to father and son..jonas and alan, we lost alan recently and so jonas is living alone. aimsworth is 2, wepeel is 2 in may, and so in jonas. in your opinion is it better to...

ah relieved to hear that other people's rats do this! our rat jonas does the same and only when we pick him up to put him back in! aha :)

todaaay they had the usual bowl of reggie rat, peas, brocolli on the kabobs and chick peas! curly kale before bed later :)

we have kept four rats here at isaac's house and those were : aimsworth and wipeel (mother and daughter) and alan and jonas (father and son) in serparate cages. Alan is not well atall
he has shallow breathing, red around the nose..back and front legs seem to be useless, he is jerking about a bit, is there anything we can do to help him? we think he may be on his way out :(

what could this mean? :| alan is 2 years and his son has it too..the vet didn't mention it when we took him t'other day though..could they be lacking something in their diet?

thanks for your help, gave her 0.2ml of baytril mixed with yoghurt..managed to get her to eat it all! note to seeelves mix with less yoghurt! will let you know how it goes :) thanks.

also, she said to give her all that she gave us.. 0.4 ml a day..and if it doesn't clear up (the bleeding) then to make another appointment :)
