Re: Samo cages

Samo love :hearts: I've never seen a 102, but my 82 was sturdy despite being 2nd hand and rather battered when it came to me. In my experience Marchioro cages are really pretty sturdy - both as a whole, and the quality of the bars themselves. No skimping on the solder/ bar thickness type thing. Bet...

Re: Ivermectin - where to buy?

Oooh, the RR one looks good. I used to buy the Phytopet (I think that was the brand) one from TRW but they've now increased the concentration so it can only be used on rats 500g+ which isn't a lot of use when you have girls.

Re: Tempoary rat cage

I'd go with a Furet plus. They area decent size for a holiday cage and they flatpack which is useful for transportation and storage purposes.

Re: Green Mile or Ecobed

I'm thinking a trip to GW Titmuss in my lunch break next week is on the cards as their Ecobed is only £6.80!

Re: Samo cages

would this cage fit 14 rats in as a holiday home do you know? ETA: I really should read properly rather than scan, before I post. How long do you want it for? I'm happy with my 7 in the 82 as they normally have an Explorer but I don't think I'd be happy if I had 14 to put in it. I'd definitely be h...

Re: Samo cages

That's really useful if it flatpacks easily. I've seen the 82 for £76.58 here http://petcages4less.co.uk/p2-Samo-82-Chinchilla-Ferret-Cage.html but don't know whether to trust the company or not :-? . Anyone used them? I'm thinking the 82 may be best as according to the cage calculator the XL holds ...

Samo cages

I currently have a Furet XL as a holiday cage. I really like it because of the volume but it's a little damaged and the OH isn't keen as he thinks it's a bit square so I mentioned the Samo cages. I have a Tom but have never seen a Samo in "real life" so can anyone give their opinions? I have found t...

Re: Green Mile or Ecobed

Many people have said the Green Mile compacts which is true although not such a problem if you scatter feed so you can ruffle it up again. I did buy a bale but opted to go back to Ecobed for ease. I also found it smelt alot quicker than Eco. That's great. I knew you would have an opinion on this on...

Re: We've been upgrading...

Looks brilliant! What do you think of Explorer's comapared with SRS's? I've been considering getting an SRS (currently have an Explorer) but have had mixed opinions on which is better so am a little confused.

Re: Green Mile or Ecobed

Yes, it does go everywhere. I end up sweeping or hoovering under my cage every day. Lucky I have wooden floors. I'm rat sitting at the mo and those rats are in an XL. They've been in it since last night and there's already Aubiose on the floor. You can't get a deeper base  . Think I may have t...

Do you not find Aubiose dusty? We like it because it keeps smells down but it makes us sneeze like mad when we are moving it around either into the box it's stored in or into the cage on cleanout day.

Green Mile or Ecobed

Which do people prefer out of Green mile or Ecobed? I'm thinking of getting a bale of one of them next time I place an RR order. I'm currently using Aubiose but it makes both me and the OH sneeze. I've used Finacard which was good but I noticed the rats smelling more when we went back to it for a wh...
