Re: Dreamies

My rats have had one or two in the past, but I doubt they'll be getting more as mum bought them for the cat when they where on sale. As a very occaisional treat they wouldn't hurt.

Re: Syringe feeding - how much?

I'd use a 1ml syringe and give her as much as she'll take. I don't think you can do much more then that.

Re: Explorer shelves

I have them in my Abode. I can't get all 4 screws in, but it's secure enough with 3. You could use cable ties to fix them in the cage if you can't use the screws.

Re: Explorer shelves

You could use Ferplast corner shelves instead of the shelves it comes with.

Re: Information on rehoming at 6weeks +

As far as I know, babies are old enough to be seperated at 4 weeks, but they're not mentally mature enough to be homed untill they're at least 6 weeks old. I don't know if there is any documented evidence of this though

Re: pellet food question

I wouldn't feed rats a pellet designed for rabbits. They can't digest grasses, and this is what rabbit pellets are made out of.

You could put it in the freezer to kill any eggs that may still be alive.

I can't see Vicki Pickle's photo (shakes fist at computer) But Frost is a black roan. Your baby sounds like a Striped Roan, which is what Willow is.

Re: What is the 'high white' gene?

High whites appear to be rats with blazes and white that goes up their sides.

This is what comes up on a search of the Goose Moose forum.
