Re: Finding it suddenly difficult to get hold of value cereal

Home bargains are quite good for getting cheap cereals. Good grain company puffed wheat is usually around the £1.50 mark in asda, but in home bargains it's around 80p. I also try and have a look in the pound shops as well.

How old are the rats in question? If the boy who is hurting the others between the ages of 6-10months old, have you considered castration?

Re: Critter/Terenziani

This was my boys cage for a long while! It's two Terenziani Michaelangelo's combined and held together with cable ties! Recently downsized them to a Jenny as they were struggling to get around abit. http://lh5.ggpht.com/_m8YiKaqwiWo/TPreKVCtzgI/AAAAAAAACX0/xzmths_PNl0/s640/DSCF1560.JPG Since the dow...

Re: Best Bedding with babies around

Have you tried using kitchen roll shredded up into strips? Newspaper tends to get wet rather quickly and the ink may run. Kitchen roll and facial tissues (asda smart price boxes or sainsbury basics etc)shredded into strips as well would be better I assume as I wouldn't want lil ones licking ink I su...

Advice on Doxy.

Hi all, I currently have one of my boys - Solidus - on meds for an eye infection. The vet has prescribed him Doxy and Loxicom. The dosage of Loxicom is 0.06 mls once a day and there is enough for around 3-4 weeks. The dosage of Doxy is the 100MG strength tablets, of which there are 4 capsules. Each ...

Re: Pringles tubes

I've used them before but mine were the lidl versions  I used them in Missy's cage when she was still around... bless her :hearts: I thoroughly cleaned them though and like others have said cut the end of with scissors, then just cable tied them to the side. Missy loved sleeping in them; http:/...

Re: is shadows time up??

My vet charges about £13 for small pets. £25 for other pets. Sorry to hear about Shadow, my Solidus is going through a similar thing with his eye atm (or rather has been for awhile now bless him), although it isn't bleeding but he is still on meds. It's ultimately your decision whether to call it a ...

Re: mites? just looking for some advice :)

Thanks for that too Laura :) RC is back from the vets and she confirmed all the scabs and what have you did point towards mites, which is what I first thought. She said she's happy for me to give him another dose of spot on treatment rather than injecting the ivermectin as the scabs are now all star...

Re: rice and pasta?

Nope pasta doesnt swell up in their stomaches. I found this fascinating too! My boys go mental for pasta swirls and egg noodles raw. But do love cooked rice and cooked pasta drizzled with a bit of olive oil from time to time :D Or plain cooked cous cous with kale and olive oil, they go mad for that ...

Re: mites? just looking for some advice :)

Thanks for that. He's booked in at the vets for Thurs afternoon.
I've also heard injecting ivermectin is risky too, so I will probably just ask her for some baytril to assist with the next course of spot on, if, like you say, she confirms mites.
Cheers. :)
