Re: Do rats bond to one person in particular?

I'd say all my rats respond to me well and if we have 'strangers' in our camp they are distinctively wary of them and will do everything they can to come back to mummy until they weigh up the situation. Ten minutes later they will go and explore. My sons rats in his room respond to him better than ...

Re: Rat castration?

Small animal surgery at my vets is £30 something but on top of that is meds so they usually come to £40ish. I had two males neutered on the same day and one was £40 and one was £60 due to one having complications and being on the table for a longer time. x ETA: The £40 neuter included meds, and a cl...

Re: Pregnancy telltell signs.

Weight going up (not sure how much they go up by?) is a useful sight (although I don't know how conclusively) so long as she's not a youngster herself? Although if she's been underfed her weight may also be going up by about the same amount if there's gobbling going on. She could be one of those ra...

Pregnancy telltell signs.

Picked up a rescue a few days ago. What the guy told me about the rats, doesnt quite ring true - i.e. the larger one picks on the smaller one for food. I've not seen one fight, or heard one arguement - although this could be due to not being fed enough which could cause fights (their bowl was empty)...
