My trick is to be very very quiet and hold a ramp or ladder nearby, or box or anything and wait til they climb on it, then pick it up :roll: usually they wont jump out or off!

Ive one snuggly girl who would much rather come out for cuddles than play... she used to love playing but as shes got older shes now opting for love and huggles... currently curled up in a duvet on my Dads lap lol

My Mum has two rats.. two of my babies, and I have their Mum and when I go home I take mine with me and even if they havent seen each other for 6 months they deffinately remember each other and get very very very excited when seeing each other... I was in the same position, I just left the mum and babies, with the other two girls in the cage.. when I tried to separate them the Mum got all anxious and wasnt happy, and didnt want to upset her, as didnt want her to hurt the babies... I started handling the babies at a week old.. and think Mum w...
