Re: Changing rat's name?
I kept Maisy's name and she's learning to come when called. Majeeka and Revel I came up with myself. Majeeka was a name I put a lot of thought into over the years and Revel popped into my head on the way to pick them up. So they were both named before they were chosen and both suited their names. I ...

Upper resiratory
I need some help here. Majeeka has an upper respiratory infection. She had 5 days on Bisolvin a couple of days off (until I went back to the vet) She has been on Baytrill and Bisolvin for the past week now with no improvement. Vet has only put her on a low Baytril dose as not down in her lungs and I...

Re: URGENT ADVICE: Daisys going downhill fast resp/heart issues
Best of luck, hope she doesn't have to too soon
I still hurt and it's been 3 weeks. My thoughts are with you.

Re: Hiccups?
I actually remembered to ask, I just forgot to post the answer. Nothing to worry about, completely normal.

Re: what was the strangest thing you`ve found your rat eating?
I keep remembering things as I'm reading down everyones lists  Sponge, earphones, rubber bouncy ball (Muppets one, was going to kill her) foam ball, Lucas Papaw Ointment tube and some of the contents, couch. Maisy ate one of the syringes that I've had from the vet. One day I was getting Majeeka...

Re: More fancy rats in the park :(
When I seen this thread has been revived my heart sank. I thought oh no, not again. Glad it's not bad news. I can't believe it's been a whole year where does the time go?

Re: what was the strangest thing you`ve found your rat eating?

When I came home from my holiday last year my case was lying opened on the floor and I didn't unpack straight away. When I did there was fluffy tampons everywhere  Sometimes I catch Vegan e...

Re: poorly 12 month girl
When I was feeding my Revel up the only thing I could get her to eat regularly was Alpro Soya Yoghurt. Her favourite flavours were strawberry and forest fruits. It was her staple diet for the last few months of her life. Hope you little one pulls through.
Re: Lump
Thought I'd update incase anyone is interested. Maisy had her operation today, it was a success. She was hiding under the couch earlier in the huff but now is in the cage in her igloo sleeping. She's got a little jacket on to prevent her from chewing the stitches and she's got a post op checkup on F...

Re: can rats eat chocolate n cakes n stuff
Mine love junk food but only get small amounts (I don't get peace until I give them a bit of what I'm eating) I usually need to shut myself in the kitchen to eat in peace and if the door isn't shut properly Majeeka just pulls it open and sits on my foot looking up at me saying "Please mummy, can I h...

Re: Hiccups?
Majeeka does this too I keep forgetting to ask the vet about it. I'll try to remember tomorrow (I've got a feeling of dejavu as if I've written that before, but I'm assuming whatever I was meant to ask I forgot or forgot to post the answer. My memory is shocking)

Re: argh! urgh! mites?fleas?ticks? moving itchy
I've had little black bugs all over my house for several months now and it's driving me crazy :-? mine are tiny, about 1mm, black, they don't fly or jump but they do make noise! Are these weevils?? They make a sort of scraping noise (quite loud for the size they are!) and it drives me bananas. I've...
Re: Lump
She's going in on Wednesday to have it removed. Vet explained the process to me and what she would do etc and she uses iso gas so all is well. I totally trust this vet. She's also letting me pay it up which is really good of her. I told her about Majeeka and her grunting like a little pig noises and...
