Re: will it hurt them?
Majeeka once threw herself off the top of the cage, it's taller than me, inside a pouch. I thought she had killed herself. Another time she leapt from my shoulder over the back of the couch and landed on the floor. I think they just like to worry us.

Re: Opinions wanted please...
I think it depends on yourself. I have just lost my little Revel and I said from the beginning that after Majeeka and Revel go I won't be getting anymore for a while. The main reason is I want to go travelling again. I never thought I'd loose Revel this early but regardless of who had went first I c...

I'm sure Revel will be looking after her at the bridge, sorry you had to loose her *hugs*
Lump
I feel like I only ever post in this section, it's getting depressing  I found a small lump on Maisy just behind her front left leg. It's smaller than a pea and it doesn't feel like it's attached to anything. Should I be thinking about removal now or should I wait and see if it changes in size ...

Re: Nebuliser - Bit of a long shot!
That's really helpful & useful Nina, thank you! I bought the nebuliser after I lost my darling Imogen to myco last year.....the vet and i were talking about what other options we had and we both said Nebuliser. He said "hmm they're expensive, I don't know where you'd get one." I answered "Ebay" and...

The end is nigh :(
Well it's with a heavy heart that I am writing this. Was at the vets this morning with Revel due to finding her limp and lethargic this morning. Her feet were purple. I could have made the decision there and then but I wanted to give her one more chance as she has pulled back from the brink so many ...

Thanks for that, It's looking better. I don't think it is bumblefoot thank goodness, she's got enough wrong with her. We seem to be at the end of the road now anyway

Bumblefoot
Does anyone have any decent pictures of bumblefoot. I noticed last night Revel was limping slightly on her right hind leg and today I noticed it's swollen a little and more purple than the other one with what may be the start of a sore (the skin has rubbed away slightly) in a couple of places. If it...

Re: Leaving rats... whats their reaction?
I only had my girls for 2 and a half months before going on holiday last year and I think I was more paranoid and scared than them. Though I knew I was about 6000 miles away from them and I was constantly texting to check on them. It's got to be the first time I've been desperate to return from holi...

Re: Hatred of plasters!?
Yep, can totally relate. I punched the wall in anger (not at the rats may I add, it was over my own stupidity) not long after I got the girls and they kept trying to help remove the micropore I had covering the wound across my knuckles.

Yep, mine also eat the insides of peas (they are one of the few veggies they will eat) and then toss the skins! LOL Snap!! Mine are just like human children...I can't get them to eat most any veg and one minute they love one fruit then the next they won't touch the same one! :rollred: Yep I can tot...

Re: Death sentence!! :(((
Thought I'd bump this and let everyone know she's much brighter today. My thinking is she has had a bad reaction to the Meloxidyl. Needless to say I've stopped giving it to her.

Re: Death sentence!! :(((
I thought Revel was going to die in my arms tonight. I got the fright of my life. She had been sleeping and I was sitting on the couch. I heard her getting up and turned round in time to see her trying to walk, swaying and falling to the side twice (luckily towards the cushion I had behind me) she w...

Re: Death sentence!! :(((
Okay, time for an update. Went for Revel's check-up this morning, all went fine. Except for the fact that it was him and he seems to hold them at arms length just about, which Revel doesn't like. He told me to stop the Baytril as she is loosing weight and he can't really see much (holding the torch ...
