Re: I really need help

I carry a lot of guilt for letting my parents tell the vet to put Molly to sleep. But deep down i knew it was her time but the fact it wasn't my decision made me feel i let her down and i don't want to make the same mistake by letting them have the last say when its me who has always payed for their...

I really need help

My dad is making me put Percy to sleep tomorrow morning, he thinks he has no quality left in him. He has a nasal tumour which is getting bigger. He has a really awful smell which was presumed was the tumour. Tonight he's been acting differently, he keeps weeing a lot and his sneezes/ breathing sound...

Re: what was the strangest thing you`ve found your rat eating?

My best friend always has a big bag, full of "forbidden" things, which of course means its the most exciting thing in the whole wide world  . So far things I've caught them eating so far... chewing gum, cigarettes, hand cream and a £20 note :o . They're also quite partial to the kevlar we hav...

Re: Lonely Rat

That's so sad :( I remember cleaning out the cage when i lost my girls, was really hard but don't beat yourself up.. It's normal to feel bad though, it's still early days so it needs to sink in a bit more for you :( The vet i had before didn't want to try anything other than baytril which clearly wa...

Re: Lonely Rat

When i had Grace and Molly, Grace was the more laid back/ friendliest out of the two. She was so laid back, she would just sit on your shoulder/ let me tickle her tummy while she lstayed on her back. Molly wouldn't stay on my shoulder or anything. I always thought losing Molly wouldn't be so hard be...

Re: what was the strangest thing you`ve found your rat eating?

One night when i was getting in to bed, i realised while Percy was out on free range he went tin my bag and got my starwberry flavoured carmex and chewed it in my bed making a strawberry smelling mess. I did smell the strawberry on him but didn't think till i was ready for bed, i had actually been l...

Re: bruxing/ boggling

Thanks, still unsure whether Percy is doing it because he's happy or in pain because he's always been quite loud when he does it.. He has a tumour on the side of his face but he has had pain relief and ab injection to help him be more comfy but because he's always done that for no reason i can't fig...

bruxing/ boggling

What's the difference between them doing it when they're happy or if unwell/ pain? Or isn't there a difference?
