Re: Fighting wound?

How big is it? Personally I think if there are no signs of infection and its not too big I'd just give it a little clean then leave it alone. If theres no signs of infection I dont think its necessary to give abs, plus over using baytril will just making it less effective when they really do need it.

Re: Im a grandmother

Sadly that is quite common with PAH. I would urge you though, please dont give them the mums and babies back :( . Tell them you want to raise them yourself (them paying for the stuff you need), and rehome them straight to loving pet homes yourself.

Re: Turning a dog crate into a ratty home...

If you have a budget of £100 why not just get a second hand explorer? They come up on ebay all the time for between £50 and £100, infact jan is selling one on the market place for £60 http://fancy-rats.co.uk/community/viewt ... 2&t=156585

Re: Conkers

I looked into this myself a while back and from what I found they are toxic. I seem to remember reading that theres something in them actually used for rat poison :o , though I dont know in what quantities. So I wouldnt risk it

ETA : Ratty_Rhian beat me to it  and Beri :P

Try scatter feeding, then he cant see the food so doesnt end up feeling guilty and giving them more, plus they'll enjoy it too :D

Re: My rats have lice - can i still visit babies on sunday??

Personally I wouldnt until the lice have gone, just because it's likely to mean they have to treat all of their rats also which is just inconvenient

Re: Please help I'm really worried, blood in droppings!

How much blood is there? Is it bright or dark? One of my past boys had blood in his feces one night which started with just a few specs then became really heavy and lost a fair bit of blood over just a few hours, we looked after him through the night to keep him going and he was fine the next day. W...

Re: John Hopewell Galvanised Clean out trays

Last update we had by PM was that the guy had changed his quote to £45 with cutout and £30 without so she was looking elsewhere. I'm not sure if anything has changed since though.
