Re: Biting Problems

Where abouts did you get them? Unfortunately if it was from a pet shop then they probably haven't been handled properly, and they bite because they only know hands as scary things that grab them and put them in a box and then grab again and put them in a strange place. What you're doing with getting...

Re: Sharp claws

Try putting a brick or something similar next to something she uses a lot, like her litter tray or food/water. Place it so she has to stand on it to access these things and it can help with filing them down a bit. :)

Re: bleeding wee, please help :(

Does your vet have an after hours or emergency number?? Most of them do, so even if you can't contact your regular vet, look through the phonebook and contact any vet with after hours or emergency numbers and talk to them asap to see what they say. They might ask you to bring her in, or they might b...

Re: Paw Paw or Papaya?

Oh dear, now I've confuzzled everyone :( I think I'll just assume that they're pretty much the same :)
So should I alternate between adding muesli with fruit, and just plain muesli? Or just pick the fruit out most days? Fun

Paw Paw or Papaya?

On the safe fruits/veg A-Z list it states that Papaya is safe, but what about Paw Paw? I thought they were the same, but Mum informs me that they are slightly different. I want to add some human breakfast cereal to their dry mix and it contains dried paw paw. Also, is triticale okay for them? Thanks...

Diet for youngsters?

Hi all, my two girls are 8 weeks old and I'm just wanting to make sure that I'm feeding them correctly for their age. They have their grain mix daily and fresh water at all times. They get a piece of fruit in the mornings (usually apple, banana or strawberry) and then they get a fresh dinner. Their ...

Re: Introducing cats to rats

Thanks everyone for your help! My cat definitely isn't a hunter, she's actually scared of wild mice (pathetic lol) but I just really wanted to see how other people handle things. I'll definitely be keeping the door shut, and not letting her in unsupervised. Plus, the cage door is always locked. Than...

Re: Introducing cats to rats

Thanks for the welcome :) Yeah I'll be keeping my door closed as often as possible, but sometimes it can't be helped and I just want to make sure they'll be safe. My cat never goes near the budgie, and there's no door keeping the cat out, so I want the same indifference towards the rats :P

Introducing cats to rats

Hi all, I'm new here :) Tonight I decided I had to take the step and introduce my cat to my babies. It would've happened sooner or later, and I'd rather it be a supervised meeting! I left the ratties in their cage, obviously. Anyway, Silky (the cat) tensed up when she saw them and so I held onto her...
