a chewer

One of my girls has become obsessed with chewing the bottom of doors in the past few weeks. When freeranging she runs from door to door (there are 6 doors in the hallway/bathroom), trying to chew them all. I've tried saying a firm 'no', pinning her like rats do (she just licks my hands), spraying wi...

Re: Rate That Layout!

There is a freecycle (only realised after you mentioned it!) tho it doesn't seem to have any rat/rabbit/parrot etc toys or things I could use. Shall keep an eye on it tho.
Think it's been long enough, so i tag msmara

Re: bigger cage for kittens

Personally i'd say give it a go in the bigger spacing and sit with them for a while to see if they can get out. Then leave them for 15 mins if they don't then 30 mins if they still haven't, then an hour. If they hadn't gotten out within an hour, i would think they would be okay. But i'm sure someone...

Re: Rat rations

Yeah, daily essentials is dr squig. And it comes in a powder.i only ever get the 100gs 'cause i can't afford the big ones when i have to get so many other things lol but if you can,i'd go for the bigger one, prob better value in the long run. I think if you don't use calvicat for calcium, you can us...

Re: How much food and vits for kittens?

Meant to say about food too.. I'd start filling the bowl half way and feeding 3 times a day. If you go back and the bowl is empty try more each time until you get the right amount. I do enough that they tend to just leave a few scraps in the bowl. Then in a few weeks i'd go down to a little more foo...

Re: How much food and vits for kittens?

I give all my rats, male and female, of various ages, 20mls of dr squig a day as well as water, but i think a lot of people only give it once or twice a week. My youngest have been getting it since weaned at 4 weeks. Going by 20mls a day each, 100g of it last my 7 ratties a month or so. I just put o...

Senior aid & malt paste

How much should I give, how often and how? It says on the bottle 1 pump for anything under 5kg per day. My boys are 580-620gs, a pump between them maybe? Or less? Do i give it in food or is it okay to give on it's own? They share a food bowl with two young boys, so i'd like to avoid them stealing it...

Re: Rat rations

I don't use the calvicat stuff but i do recommend daily essentials. Mine get 60-80mls a day (that's 20mls each for boys and girls) and i noticed a difference in my dirty scruffy boys straight away. I also suppliment the no7 mix with fruit, veg, protein such as chicken bones or eggs (protein only onc...
