Help, newbie needs a name *decision announcement*

Post by Kitkat » Thu Sep 29, 2005 8:27 am

My new rat has been here a week now and still doesn't have a name :o

It's not like me to struggle to name someone but I just can't seem to find a name that really fits. There are a few possibles floating around but the OH and I can't seem to agree on one.

Heeeeelllllllppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is a picture to help inspire you. I'd like something that reflects the situation (he saved Stu from depression so something about being a good friend or a hero or saviour) or his personality (sweet, gentle, brave and playful).

Errm...isn't Dakota a girl's name?

ETA I vote for Martin (maybe Marty for short?) Don't know why - just think it suits him!

what about calling him hero, or Pal, what about hercules. Or what about victor? its a good name and means victory, maybe over depression etc.

Arthur saved his people.

Casper or Jasper mean "treasure-bringer".

Elmer means "noble".

Isaac means "laugh" - perhaps that's what he made Stu do?

Nathan means "gift".

I like names! :D Let us know what you decide!

I think I'd call him Jasper, but I just really like the name - it might not suit him at all!

Thanks everyone for your input. Not sure I'm any closer yet, although I think Minty is probably winning so far. It means protector so it's appropriate and it's cute cos it's like Minty from Eastenders

I really like Dakota, which apparently is unisex, but I can't think of anything cute to shorten it to.

Marty I like a lot. Wanted to add it to the poll options but I don't think I can.

I've already had a Victor and a Jasper :( Jasper would have really suited him though.

Nathan I like as well.

I should have checked your signature before I spoke. Sorry to be tactless. :(
