He may have been free to obtain, but since then he has cost me:
* one course of ivermectin for all my rats, as he kindly brought us some lice
Yes, my petshop freebies also cost me ivermectin for all my rats as well!

Ya, I was thinking of the vet bills ill end up loading on my dad...
And its the 'West London Pet Centre', in greenford...
Its a tiny pet shop really, but it sell tropical fish (each tank always seem to have at least 1 dead, decaying fish *shivers*,) goldfish, snakes (normally albino corn snakes), (Chilean) trantualars, guinea pigs, birds (several types) , rats, and bbits, and mice. I believe I remember seein a parrot there too...

Please do not pay any money for them! If you can get the petshop to give them to you, fantastic! If you pay for them you will be encouraging the petshop to go out and get more *stock* for their shop
I know that what you are saying makes sense, but I think you should buy them. Because:
1) If they only have 2 left, than it must be that the rats do sell
2) They aren't going to just give them away.
3) If you don't buy them someone else will, or they might even end up as feeders.
No offense if i didn't agree with you
to me thats seems like reasons not to get them
PS: you cant get feeder rats in the uk, well, only dead ones can bve sold from petshops

We got foxie the same time we got Patch and Sven. when I took her out of the cage they had her in she squeeked so much that i didnt even check her myself. Spin a head about 20 mins and We put them in their new home my GF takes off to the store and I start getting worried she <although at the time thinking she was a he>. might be sick or something took her out and thats when i knew he was really was a she.
Having said that if i had to do it over I would take those three again in a moment
Foxie, although still a bit skiddish, is VERY affectionate, to me especially
