I've finally intro'd my two groups of boys to make a group of nine, and converted my duetto for them - thanks so much to beetroot for sending me some passageway connectors!! I'm so proud of this cage, it took me 5 hours with a piddly pair of wire cutters  I must give credit to hanlou as I got the idea from her post earlier on in the thread - look look!!

Ta da!!

One of the boys is nearly three, and just potters about in the bottom half, but the rest of them love bombing up and down the tubes :D

I have only recently put the wheel in there and no one has used it as of yet, infact they're a bit scared of it I think!! I keep throwing food in there when I scatter feed so fingers crossed this will encourage them.. haha..

misc small cages (suitable for 5 rats or less)

Post by v3gas4ce » Sun Jul 24, 2011 4:54 pm

Well, I've just bought a new cage for my 2 females.
I didn't plan on it being as big as it is, but I can expand on my clan now.
I did the cage calculator after I brought it home and put it up and it says that it's big enough for 15 rats, I've only got 2!
(Dimensions: 60in high, 23In deep, 40in wide).
it's a little bare on the picture and I've added a few shelves and runs for them since I took the picture, but I will be adding quite a bit more stuff as time goes on, keep them interested.

Ignore my mum's shocked look, think she was a bit mad at me for bringing it home.
