This is my cage. It has a whole heap more stuff in it now - lots of water bottles, more food bowls, a wobust wheel, another peg basket, grassy hutch and tunnel, couple more levels and more of those bird-perch rope things (love) and a couple more corner-litter trays, another igloo. The thing is over here in NZ, we don't have the products available that you guys do, so it takes a lot of improvisation.

The cage is 140cm tall, 94 cm wide and 54 cm deep.

New cage and new 9 week old boys :D Looks a bit bare there, but more has been added in the days since taking the photo. Look at Pepper next to the litter tray, you can barely see him lol

i know it looks a little empty at the bottom but since switching to cardboard squares my boys have loved their floor space, they are like kids running through leaves  they have two sputniks at the top, a cargo net, a bag made from some fleecey pj's, two suspended tunnels, three hammocks currently (more in the wash!) two solid tunnels, two water bottles, one dry mix bowl, oh and their litter tray, which they seem to think is a toy

This is my cage before my girls (3) went in it. They are my first rats so the layout probably isn't that adventurous this time but they seem to like it. It looks quite different now as it is a mess down the bottom now! They have pulled all the tissues out of the box and stuffed them into their circus house. There is also now a little cardboard box which is their digging box, in the back left hand corner. I had to tie it in place so it wouldn't move because they have been chewing the corner of the base there so now they can't because the box is in the way, lol!

I shall be changing their layout on Saturday. I have a ferplast corner shelf coming so they have another solid platform, plus I am going to cover the wire one.

Still a work in progress and slightly different layout now since they have been cleaned out. I am getting my mom to help me with hammocks and buying fleecy blanket material like its going out of fashion - moms next task - to work out how to make a tunnel LOL!!!!
Martha, Mildred and Mabel - my first ever rats!

The crew: Dogs-Jess and Min, Budgies-Suzie and Dippy, Rabbit-Mr Mumbles, Cat-Flobella, The giant african land snails, The fish. my house is full.
