The brand new Abode! What a brilliant cage!

Image

Notice the 'ghost' of Izzy! She jumped just as I took the photo. Turned into rather an ethereal blur! :-)

And the youngest of the family is moving with authority,

my shiny new abode!

got it 2nd hand (guy got rid of his ratties because he didnt like their tails (?!)) so it has only been used for a month.

i love it and so do my boys. it is so big! it look a little different now - i got some more hammocks from equinecaninefeline.

also got a hoojcube from fuzzbutt too which is my favorite (and my boys favorite) thing! its getting kind of difficult to tempt them out of it!

so far, im incredibly impressed with the cage. it is so sturdy and well made, door is huge, comes on castors which i find really handy to wheel out and sweep/vacuum behind, loads of floor space. only down side imo is the vertical bars which are a bit of a pain when it comes to hanging things, esp water bottles (but this is only really a challenge to owners, not agile ratties  ) to over come this, i got a lava ledge (you can just see it on the bottom left of the cage) so that the ratties can jump on their to have a drink. means those nails get kept in shape too!

would recommend this cage to anyone - it is brill (and HUUUGE!!! - if you're thinking about buying, do some measuring first. mine just fit in my room!)

Here are pics of the girls current set up which is their best yet I think.

Whole cage:

Image

Bottom left:
The blue box thing they usually use as a litter tray/food storage area. There is also their now empty box of tissues (tissues have been scattered all over the place), above is a fuzzbutts hammock and above that a tunnel thing.

Image

Bottom Right:
Their wheel, that stupic knock over rat toy thing that they never use but I thought I'd persist and put it in again anyway, their waffle block house (which they aren't too sure about as its new and they normally have their circus but there wasn't room for both), their rope thing, and the flower garland.

Image

Top Left:
You can see the yellow hammock that goes across the middle of the cage, a corner crush in the back corner, their pink sputnick, in front of the water bottle is a sleeop'n'ledge that I painted in pink enamel plastikote. The pink dish is a fish shaped cat foot dosh from Sainsburys, lol! But it was good as it has two compartments for their different foods. There is also a coop cup hanging just above it but you can't see in the picture.

Image

Top Right:
Their ferplast corner shelf, and one fuzzbutt cube hanging in the back and one at the front. In the back one, you might be able to spy a little pink nose in the circle hole on the left which is either Suki or Mei :)

Image

And here are some bonus piccies!

Image

Image

I *think* it is Suki in the top one as she is usually a bit more dopey, and therefore I *think* it is Mei in the bottom one as she is more inquisitive. They both look exactly the same until you see their tails. And Kiki is in there somewhere, probably underneath them. And its easy to tell her apart as she is beige and white :)
