I recently introduced a new rat to my current one who had lost her sister, and when I did so I decided to give them a new home. Or Mansion I should say. Here it is!

And here are my little girls who get to live there!

here is my cage for my 2 boys, i haven't tried changing it yet, but i'm sure i'll get bored of it at somet point. -the whole of the front comes off for easy access

hi, first of all i'm new here! My house mate and I are wanting rats, so we thought we would build our own cage. There are still a few more things that we want to add. Shelves and play things. At least we are at a stage now that we have a working cage.

What do you all think ?

my dad made me another cage on top there is 6 young bucks and bottom 2 full grown bucks

Mine's :

It was not finished at that time, now all the stages are made. Girls were ( and still are) upstairs, males have the two lower stages.

I had a Ferret XL but it was stolen when I moved to a new flat

(yes, they've stolen a cage

)

I had also a few smaller cages, but now I only got the big homemade one.

Hi everyone!

Here's my new cage...an Uni-Dom 2 Euro Travel. I'm absoultely delighted with it, it's huge, looks nice (available in all RAL-colours so yes, i chose that brown

) and is sooo easy to clean!

this is my cage which i have just done out

in it i have a hammock, a cosy cup, a wicker/wooden tunnel thing, a chube, an igloo, a woodchew on a skewer, a jean leg turned into a tunnel/slide and a peice of skelectrix used as a swing!

they love it!

Ive just managed to get a pic of our rats cage.It looks a bit bare at the mo as ive moved them to this cage recently from a smaller one.

For a cheap alternative, I got a dog's cage. The wire spacing was too big, but I've covered it with mesh.
Here's a picture just to give you an idea of the size (Yes, that's THREE people in there):

And here it is when it was first set up:

It was home to just my two girls, but it's soon to be home to four boys. I should tell you that these pictures are from when we first got it-since then it's changed a lot. There are no wooden platforms, and all wire-platforms are covered up. And there are a LOT more toys. Hope you like it.

Might be an idea for a cheap cage if anyone's looking? I got this of ebay for £18. Second hand, yes, but in good condition as dog's aren't kept in cages very much. Hehe.

I love the other cages on here by the way.

Given me some more ideas for toys..
