Well i finally got round to making my Freddy Tower and I am chuffed to bits with it. It was a little bit fiddly but all worth it when the girls went it and started to explore - think they will all sleep very well tonight!!

Note: the battle for the bottle of soya milk going on...!

I've been trying to strike a balance between fun things for our 9 week old boys to do and lots of space and comfy places for their older friends to potter around and doze. Today's rearrange has been quite succesful so I thought I'd post.

Whole cage (don't worry, nothing lives in that tiny cage, that's where we pop the young'uns when they're having extra protein)

And a sneaky photo of the 5 gorgeous chaps who live there napping in the carrycase while I slave away cleaning their house. I'd like to point out that the carrycase got a thorough clean after the cage.

Here's my Jenny/Freddy tower, we've connected them with ferretrail tubing which you can see up the side

As you can see the ladder's broken, this happened literally as I was taking photos so I just took half down while I finished. It's all fixed now but I only had the camera for a bit so you'll have to use yor imagination :)

Going to pick up a Jenny tomo, so I decided it was time to make a little bit more room! Critter 2 + 3 = great big cage! YAY! XD The Jenny is going underneath the Freddy that you can see on the left. Need SO much more stuff to fill them up now - Wilkinsons tomo! :D

Post by Betterstar » Sat Jan 17, 2009 11:28 am

We've had a bit of a change about so I thought I'd post pics. We used to use the top section as the "playroom" but we decided that if they want to sleep in the comfiest beds they're going to have to climb to get to them  so now they have...

Bottom half

Image
A photo of the tube to the hanging basket before everything else went in. I love this tube, even our oldest boy uses it!

Image
Top half is a bit empty because they like to climb on the bars and there's not much room for that in the bottom half. Also because I was starting to run out of clean stuff

Image
All of the cage.

Image
The lovely pile of rats who live there...

Phew!

Hi, this is my cage. Its a bird cage with another, smaller cage joined on top. Please don't shout at me for the woodchips in the litter tray, it was literally for half a day, as I has run out of litter! Check out the home made toys.
