misc small cages (suitable for 5 rats or less)

Post by yss » Thu Jan 18, 2007 11:08 am

my cage is not finished yet, but I work on it. some more hammocks are needed, but I'd like to wait for my rats to grow a little bit :)

these are pictures of my cage [it's 70 cm wide, 40 cm deep and 80 cm high]. I've bought it for two girls, but we decided to 'rescue from the shop' other two, so now will be four....

This is a Pet Brands Ferret and Rat Cage. All this cage is for just two boys! :o
It's quite empty because I just set it up and haven't got many toys yet (nor the litter or food/drink). They're moving in tonight!

My cage!

I got this cage off of Kijiji for 200 dollars. It's huge! Big enough for 8 rats, but I don't know if that'll ever happen. :P It's super easy to clean and the bottom is grated so any extra waste falls off their floor mats. I have three rats in this one at the moment, two mismarked siamese, and bareback spotted dumbo double rex boy. Soon to be added in are my new two fellas, currently in two combined rabbit cages, two rex dumbos, one also bareback and spotted, and the other masked. Never underestimate buy and sell sites! I have a living world hanging hide, all kinds of hammocks and a couple baskets, and I just bought an 8 piece fleece Madwzl set from eBay for the winter. All cloth bedding, and YN in the litterpans.

you guys have some gorgeous cages!
I want one of these when I grow up xD

My girls cage is a little, hmm, minimalistic...
I'd love some more hammocks but they chew making it useless in a matter of hours, I'm also considering putting a wheel in the first floor... but I doubt they'll ever use it (at least for running).

Here are some photos.

This is Kwesi and Prempeh's cage.

they seem to live in the pouch and not move any further....

They will be getting a pink set up made this weekend and then another one the week after so then I will have 3 - 4 sets in total and can just reuse them as they don't seem to have the energy to chew anything!
