*resurrects thread*

This is supposed to be my room, but it's long since been taken over by cages

Image

The tank on the floor houses my Syrian, then there's my boys' Tom, my Chinese hamster's set-up on top of that, and then the girls' Critter 2.
Careful now

Really enjoying these lovely pictures but why can't I see lots of the images? Some of them just have photobucket squares saying they've been removed and others just say 'image'. Do I need to switch something on my computer?

People have since deleted some of the images from photobucket so wherever they're linked they appear as these squares

Ok, thanks. What about the ones that just say 'image' but there's no picture?

When they say just "image" sometimes they'll show if you right click on "image" and then click show picture... sometimes they don't, it depends. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. :P

Since moving into a 2 bedroom flat the rats have had their own room!! I love it, it's so much easier to have all their bits in one place instead of traipsing bales of cardboard through rooms etc.

The door:

Image

View from the doorway. Rats cages on the wall to the right, and straight ahead is 2 wooden chest of drawers and a tumble dryer.

Image

Here's the dryer with ratty bits stored on top. And you can see the glass cabinet which is on the wall to the left as you walk in the room.

Image

On top of the dryer. Food bags, mix of food, cardboard etc.

Image

Hammocks, spare shelves, tubes and bigger items are stored in the wooden chest of drawers. On this sits a small plastic set of drawers which is mainly for health bits and cleaning stuff. On top of this is the cat scratching post etc.

Image

The cabinet..full of ratty ornaments, and memorial boxes, plus cards etc from vets.

Image

And here's the view from the drawers.... looking to the doorway.

Image

Above the cages on the wall hangs calanders and framed pictures of the rats.

And various pics... rat rug on the floor, rat towel draped over the drawers

Image

Close up of cabinet.

I'm just gobsmacked by some of your rat rooms! I'm made up this thread was bumped up again. Am sooo jealous of some of them, especially yours Cyber ratty! I'm going to show my OH this thread and perhaps he'll stop complaining about my ONE Jenny! I have discussed with him the idea of adding my own rat room to the extension we have planned (which is a loooooonnnnng way off yet). My rat/gerbil room is the box room which my OH wanted as his music room, so he does have reason to complain, although he has a garage all to himself  I'd post a pic but it's simply the tiniest room you've ever seen, Jenny on one side, gerbil tanks on the other. With Everton wallpaper which was here when we moved in (last Nov) and haven't got round to redecorating yet. My OH is a Red so is also displeased that our rodents are Blues, haha!

The door

Image

View from the doorway. Girls Furet cage on the left, which is between the cabinet which you cannot see and the built in wardrobe, and the boys cage on the right ontop of the chest of drawers and next to the other wardrobe

Image

View looking out of the door of the rat room. boys rabbit cage on left and here you can see the wooden cabinet (Excuse the flat packed boxes, we'de just moved in and unpacked)

Image

Built in wardrobe. I keep the bigger stuff in here like the bale of cardboard, sack of food, spare cages and carriers. In the plastic drawers I keep the ratty first aid stuff and cage cleaning products.

Image

The cabinet!

Image

Image

Image

And this is an old picture, but the rat towel is now hung on the wall, and the boys cage is kept on the chest of drawers, in which I keep spare hammocks and material, spare food bowls, bottles, ropes, igloos and toys etc

Image

And my rat mat

The rat room is a work in progress.
It's kinda empty right now, half has like nothing in it at all.
