Bottle-destroying rats!

My white cage of does insist on chewing holes in the top of their water bottles if I forget to put cardboard between.

Maybe you could try glass bottles?

I've had to use a glass bottle for one of my cages (Tim, Tom, Flick and Blaine) because they had taken to eating the plastic one. Glass one has been fine though of course, or until I inevitably drop it, anyway

:) hi you could try making a bottle cage out of wire mesh or somthing similar just make a tube slightly wider and taller than the bottle hold it together with pieces of wire or cableties cut so no loose edges then slide bottle in and tie th the side of the cage :D

I use these and love them. I only have plastic ones as spares now.
