39hrs :o

I just went back to the shop and bought 3 pots of metallic blue. That was also all they had. Hopefully it will be enough, but I'm actually wondering if it will... They're open till 7pm though.

Nope no Wilkos anywhere near me. I don't really mind though as 99p more isn't that much, and it's only a 5min cycle ride away :) I don't massively mind about the colours, just don't want things that clash or are hard to look through. I think it's going less far than usual because of course a lot of the paint is going on the flat metal, rather than just bars.

And yes, I expect the rats to be showing their gratitude for the rest of their lives

No because I had lunch straight after posting the list

Having slight issues between the red and green plastikotes because as suspected with drying time there has been a change in recipe. Old one (red) only requires brush-cleaning in water. New ones (green, blue) require white spirit. Which is fine, it just means I can't go backwards and forwards, which is creating issues in regards to where I lean the pannels while I paint/ dry.

Current to-do list:
Paint 1st and 2nd coats of side 1 of panel #3
Paint 1st and 2nd coats of side 1 of panel #4
Paint 2nd coat of side 2 of panel #1
Paint 1st and 2nd coats of side 2 of panel #3
Paint 1st and 2nd coats of side 2 of panel #4
Paint bars of panel #3
Paint bars of panel #4
Paint 1st and 2nd coats of legs of panel #1
Paint 1st and 2nd coats of legs of panel #2
Paint 1st and 2nd coats of legs of panel #3
Paint 1st and 2nd coats of legs of panel #4

But I have also repainted the yellow things in that time, and painted the wooden roof clamp bits too. Have photos, but will post later (want to do sides and bars of other panels before midges appear).

All I have left to do is a 2nd coat of red on the feet of panels 3 and 4, and also a 2nd coat of the blue on them too. WHOOT.

I may have a slight problem however...

48hrs

Bloo
Image
Panel on the left is #4 aka that horrendous one.

Need one more coat of bloo on all 4 sides of those two panels (i.e. just around the outside of the wire), but that is *it*. That will happen in about 7hrs. And then it will be good to go. Which is just as well, because going is at about noon

I am charging my camera battery right now so that I can take photos of it set up :D Hopefully that will go ok! For the time being I will just be propping the short leg up on something.
