I remembered it was going in the living room LOL.

No photos yet as after packing the van full of furniture and then lugging it all in etc. etc. I was far too tired to do anything. Also I forgot any garden wire/ scissors to do the roof. I'll be putting it up most likely next Sunday/ Monday when I'm up again to collect my babies from toyah :D

Where oh where is the lead for uploading photos from my phone...
I remembered my camera at the weekend, but left the memory card (and the spare!) at home. Oops.

It is up, and I got it up by myself, but I'm not sure it's coming down again

The corner things on the complete legs (front right, back left) went on fine. The front left leg is a bit uneven at the bottom and the pole isn't all the way on, but only maybe 10cm up. It gets down to the bottom of the cage, just not all of the leg basically. I managed about 10cm pulling it down once the cage was upright - I reckon maybe with 2 people it might be possible to lower further.

The back right leg was the super-rusty corner, and the panels are bent and ugh. I've bashed them back into shape, but despite the corner thing not being full length, there's no way it's going on. Maybe 30cm sticking up above the cage? Meh, it's not neat, but it's at the back in the corner so I don't care lol. I've got a bit of wire at the very bottom of the cage-space tying the two panels together. I would have one lower down on the leg also, but due to the diagonal of the metal on the leg, that's not going to happen. Maybe I'll drill holes later for wire.

Just the force of my bare hands pulling it down has removed some of the paint though lol. And I've pulled my upper abs. ow LOL. Some of the paint was scored off on the edges while putting the poles on. I guess those bits where the paint layers were thicker, and the extra minute difference in measurement was too big. A few other bits have scraped off too during travel - there were blankets between the panels in the main areas of worry, but obviously not all of them. Nevermind, good thing my perfectionism doesn't stretch that far. It's back to being more multicoloured with yellow blobs on the side panels/ flappy things as a result.

Neither of the above poles are really influencing the cage itself though. The only issue is the back right leg, because the panels don't meet completely, there's a gap in the corner at the bottom. A rat wouldn't fit out, but substrate will. Currently there's a cat litter tray tied there, but I'll probably do somethin with mesh and plastic long-term.

The sticky-up poles created a bit of an issue for sticking on the roof (JH mesh one), but it's ok. It's just not completely parallel with the front/ back edges of the apex.

On the other hand, I don't need to do anything with the legs :D I've sat the cage on a folded in half knot-weave type IKEA rug. I can easily pull the cage about on the laminate floor. The double carying thickness has basically absorbed the leg height differences - both overall, and between the two panels that make up a single leg. It's very solid so I'm not going to bother making wooden fake legs

*dances*
*realises that exhaustion, pulled muscles and dancing don't work together*
