Lots of photies for me to come home to!!!

I love the yellow and red scheme, but I am really impressed with those two larger panels, they are looking really clean and 'improved'.

Well, chop chop, you have two lots of 2nd primer coats to do...

I was decorating today so got lots of lovely Dulux Jade White all over me including my hair. I did manage to thoroughly cover the walls too...... :P

Um; can I reserve judgement on the Colour Scheme?? In my head I think I see a tie-dye Duetto!

Yellow, red AND ORANGE. Can't you see?
philosophyfox wrote:I am really impressed with those two larger panels, they are looking really clean and 'improved'.
The thing is, all the photos on the first page of the bad rust were of the smaller panels - the big ones weren't all that bad. Except for that one end of one side of the one I did today. Well, not that bad relatively, probably quite bad compared to usual rusty cages lol.

Well done on so thoroughly coating yourself - how many coats? A shame about getting some on the walls though :(

Hmmmm, I spose so! The bits that are normally blue are going to be touched up with dark green. I know it works as I've done that combination before on other cages I've touched up lol. It means it's not a case of the colour not quite being the same, which it definately won't be with ferplast-aviary blue.
e.g. bluey-greeny-yellow here

I am getting a little impatient with rust-removal. Initially it's ok as you see it all billowing off, or if it's little bits around the rim where it goes shiny very quickly. But the big area stuff billows, and then you're there for ages just going over it without seeing much change :-?
Also I need another wire brush!

Stuffs so far:
Wire brush x2 (though I only bought one as the other was here already £3 each
Hammerite stuff £7
Sand paper £2
Big thing of malt vinegar (already had)
1" paintbrush (already had) x2
Spatula (already had) - for applying vinegar
Kitchen towel - for taking off vinegar
White spirit (already had)
Plasti-kote spray, orange (already had)
Plasti-kote, red (already had)
Plasti-kote, green 59ml £4 x3
Ice lolly 80p - totally counts as a cost
